Consisting of Gusto and Dubs from the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, the pair have continually evolved their craft, blending hip hop roots with expansive electronic production that has resonated across headphones, dancefloors and festival stages worldwide. Their new record is inspired by all things uptempo, with a mix of techno, drum & bass and UK Garage defining their new sound.
Award-winning multi-instrumentalists, Hermitude broke through internationally with their 2012 album HyperParadise, which won the Australian Music Prize, while the Flume remix of the title track amassed more than 200 million streams. Their follow-up album Dark Night Sweet Light debuted at #1 on the ARIA Charts and went Gold in New Zealand, with single The Buzz becoming a global hit and earning platinum success. Across albums including Pollyanarchy and their latest release EIGHT, the duo have continued to push into new sonic territory, incorporating techno, UK garage and uptempo club influences while maintaining the experimental edge that has defined their career.
The collaborative spirit of Hermitude extends throughout their catalogue, having worked with artists including Kimbra, Flume, Bibi Bourelly and BJ The Chicago Kid, while also remixing tracks for acts such as Odesza and Alison Wonderland.
