Movie Review: Late Night with the Devil

In this film set in the 1970s Jack Delroy is a late night talk show host whose show Night Owls is struggling in the ratings. In order to get the show on top of late night pile, he runs a Halloween special and things start to go bizarrely wrong when he invites a supposedly demonically possessed girl on to the stage.

Press play to watch the review:

The film is constructed as though it is a fly on the wall documentary so we get to see behind the scenes moments as well as on air action. The premise is quite good and the cast give it their all, but the pace is a little slow and when the action really gets going it feels a bit hokey. There are funny moments in it, and I guess its entertaining but not as much as you’d think for this type of genre.

So how did I score it?

Acting  7 /10

Story/Script 6 /10

Cinematography   7 /10

Set/Costumes 7 /10

That gives Late Night with the Devil an average score of  6.6 / 10
