Movie Review: Operation Fortune is entertaining but you’ll guess the ending!

When a valuable piece of AI tech is stolen from a lab, a super spy called Orson Fortune swings into action to save the world. With the help of some talented operatives and a Hollywood star, they must stop a billionaire arms dealer from selling the tech.

Press play to watch my review:

There’s plenty of action in this film, and an every increasing body count, but the film never seems to have much tension in it. It’s entertaining, but its pretty obvious how the story will end, and the good guys almost always win in every scenario they encounter. Jason Statham is the star of the film and he’s basically the same character you’ve seen him stoically play in every other film he’s been in. When he isn’t shooting people, he’s beating them up or stabbing them, yet he never gets even a scratch or works up a sweat.

Statham may have top billing in the film, but it is Hugh Grant as the billionaire who completely steals the entire film with his deliciously villainous performance. Probably one of Grant’s finest roles I have to say.

Overall its a fun kind of film, but trust me, you already know how its going to end.

So how did I score it?

Acting   7/10

Story/Script 7 /10

Cinematography    7 /10
