Lacuna (single) – Reb Fountain

Reb Fountain is a kiwi artist who won the 2021 Taite Music Prize. Lacuna is the third single from her upcoming album IRIS which is due out in October. It’s quite a catchy song and I have to say her voice reminds me a lot of Lana Del Ray. Reb has a tour of three NZ cities in November – catch the details here, and you can watch the new video for Lacuna below. Note – The song IRIS from the album is pretty cool too!

Human (album) – One Republic

One Republic have had some really big hits, and they have a very distinctive sound. Human is their latest album and has fourteen tracks. Sadly, none of them match some of their past songs, though I have to say, Someday, Rescue, and Ships + Tides are pretty good.

You can watch the music video for Someday below:

Wasted Days (single) – John Mellencamp with Bruce Springsteen

John Mellencamp is working on a new album due out in 2022, and Wasted Days is the first of the tracks to be released. I was never really into his music, but this rock/country ballad is really cool. It features Bruce Springsteen, a rocker I’ve liked for years. Check out the video of the two below:
