New Music: Seven Purple Tigers, and Air Traffic Control

DASH (album) by Air Traffic Controller

Air Traffic Controller is an indi-pop band from Boston in the US. Their new album is called DASH and it’s got some nice tracks on it. My favourites would be – Kissed You in the Morning, a sweet melodic song with a country vibe that doesn’t over do it! Lovely vocals. 20 – an upbeat song filled with optimism in which a guy reminisces about being 20 years old. It’s a very catchy track. (watch the music vid of the track here). Sometimes – another catchy tune about a guy realising he needs to make it right with his lost love. Finally, Fool’s Gold – a mild ballad about the search for love. It’s easy listening at its best.

DAYDREAM ECHO CHAMBER (EP) by  Seven Purple Tigers

Seven Purple Tigers are a German-American indie-pop group. Their latest EP is due out this coming week, and I’ve listened to two tracks from it. The ‘Tigers’ are an eclectic group and seem to be developing a gender neutral image these days. The music is kind of poppy, but it is great to listen to. The song Clarity, and it’s accompanying music video is full of fun and bounce. Smoke Communiqué is soulful and has a soaring chorus. You can see more of their music here
