Event: Ngaiire postpones NZ tour till August 2022

Ngaiire has rescheduled their New Zealand tour to August 2022 and will be joined by NZ Electronic/Soul/Jazz artist Wallace.

Due to ongoing Covid-19 and border situations between Australia and New Zealand, Ngaiire’s’s album release tour of New Zealand, due to kick off next month will now be held in August 2022.

The full band tour will begin in Auckland on Friday, 26 August at Tuning Fork, followed by Meow in Wellington on Saturday, 27 August.

Ticket holders do not need to take any action; all tickets previously purchased from authorised outlets remain valid for the rescheduled shows without the need for exchange. Fans who are unable to attend the new dates can obtain a refund from their original point of purchase.
Ngaiire “ I was really looking forward to playing in my first home Aotearoa/NZ but unfortunately this seems to be the expected now! 2022 is going to be amazing and I can’t wait to tour with my sis and incredible kiwi artist Wallace who will be joining me in August next year. Can’t wait to see you. X”

Sydney Morning Herald has described Ngaiire’s performances as a “neo-soul Wizard of Oz, her voice echoes around the upstairs of the Lansdowne Hotel like a spectral presence…” and the new album ‘3’ The Guardian describes as “Radiant and rich… Tying electronic pop with older traditions, Ngaiire’s new release is bright, alive and soulful”.

Wallace’s music has been described as a vibrant mosaic of soul, hip-hop, and pop, her trademark jazz-influenced vocals and magnetic presence demonstrating her evolution as a songwriter to watch.  Giles Peterson is a fan quoted as saying, “Wow, what a voice… Just good soul music”.

Coincidentally Wallace has released a new track today,’ Venus’, about which Wallace says “Venus is a complex and endlessly inspiring queen to me and now hangs proudly above my bed in New Zealand. Let’s just hope there’s no quakes anytime soon. “
