Film Review: Dumb Money

The film is based on a the real life story of Keith Gill who led a bunch of ordinary people to invest in a gaming retail chain and in doing so caused a major ruckus on Wall Street.

Press play to watch the review:

It’s an interesting plot and the cast are very well chosen. The way it’s put together ensures that the audiences sympathies will probably lie with the underdogs and not the billionaire investors. Of course if you own a hedge fund or watch Fox News you’ll probably feel the opposite.

Overall, it’s a reasonable watch, but it does drag in parts, and for me there wasn’t really enough genuine tension in it which makes me think of it as nice but nothing special.

So how did I score it?

Acting  7 /10

Story/Script 6 /10

Cinematography    7/10

Set/Costumes  7/10

Entertainment   6 /10

That gives Dumb Money  an average score of   6.6 / 10
