The smash-hit musical that took the West End and Broadway by storm is coming to Aotearoa in 2026.
& Juliet will make its highly anticipated New Zealand debut, with strictly limited seasons at three of the country’s most iconic venues: The Civic in Auckland from April 9, St James Theatre in Wellington from May 9, and Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch from May 30.
Presented by G&T Productions, & Juliet flips the script on the greatest love story ever told, asking: what if Juliet chose her own fate, instead of following Romeo’s?
Created by Emmy® Award-winning Schitt’s Creek writer David West Read, & Juliet is a hilarious and poignant story of self-discovery, empowerment and second chances. Paired with a playlist of era-defining pop anthems by legendary songwriter Max Martin and friends, the result is a heart-bursting musical that proves there’s life after Romeo.
After premiering on the West End and earning a staggering 8 x Olivier Awards nominations, & Juliet has also been one of the most unexpected and spectacular theatrical triumphs on Broadway, with Forbes Magazine saying: “This is easily the best musical of the year”.
