Movie Review: Dune Part Two

In this sequel to Dune, somewhat hero Paul Atreides seeks revenge on the enemies of his family who killed his father and devastated their lives and livelihood.

Press play to watch the review:

Well what can I say?  This film is the absolute epitome of an epic movie. It is huge in scale with lavish sets, stunning fight scenes, an engaging soundscape, and quite remarkable cinematography and special effects.

I saw it at an IMAX theatre, and if you truly want to enjoy the sweeping magnitude of this film I’d recommend you see it in as big a screen as you can.

The story does get bogged down at times with some repetitive dialogue and some slowish scenes, but the characters are so engaging thanks to a brilliant cast that some slight faults in the movie are washed away by its grandeur.

So how did I score it?

Acting  8 /10

Story/Script 7 /10

Cinematography    8 /10

Set/Costumes 8 /10

Entertainment value 9 /10

That gives Dune: Part Two an average score of   8 / 10
