Podcast: Will Australia’s religious freedom proposal dilute human rights law?

In the last few days, The Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said his government was delaying new religious discrimination laws saying the legislation has over reached its initial intention.

There have been fears in Australia that the proposed legislation could have seriously negative consequences for many Australians in particular for LGBTQi, women and disabled people.

A few days before Morrison’s announcement Andrew Whiteside spoke with Tasmanian based human rights advocate Rodney Croome about the legislation.
